Individual nutritional advice
What is actually still healthy?
There is a lot of uncertainty these days when it comes to good nutrition. Are eggs healthy or deadly for our cholesterol levels? Avocados are now regarded as a real superfood, whereas just a few years ago they were still decried as fat bombs. Can you eat fat and become slim at the same time? Are the increasing incidences of dementia really linked to our high sugar consumption? And is chubby a new trend – or is a lot of belly fat the direct route to diabetes, broken joints, forgetfulness and cancer? Functional individual medicine gives us the answer. It shows: The fork – and what you spear with it – is your most effective weapon against most diseases of civilization and for prevention.
You are what you eat
Every bite you take is a decision: health or illness! You have to be aware of this. “You are what you eat” – that’s the simple rule of thumb for a healthy diet. Unfortunately, however, people often gobble down food that is far too heavy and high in carbohydrates. What are you then? Probably stressed. The result is chronic maldigestion of food. The barely chewed, undigested food is broken down by the intestinal bacteria; the carbohydrates ferment and the proteins putrefy. This produces highly toxic decomposition products that damage the intestines and the immune and nervous systems located here. You will therefore receive many valuable tips for a healthy diet in our practice. In a nutshell – the rules of a healthy diet:
1. Turn off the carbohydrate tap!
2. Make sure you take sufficient vitamin D supplements!
3. Exercise regularly, moderately and properly!
4. Find a good balance between periods of high tension and relaxation!
Can hormonal imbalances, a lack of vital nutrients and intestinal bacteria make you fat?
In any case! That’s why willpower and discipline are often not enough to lose weight. Regulatory disorders can trigger an imbalance in the body, resulting in a real craving for carbohydrates, for example. This is where individual medicine looks deeper and, if necessary, looks at your gut, stress levels, hormones and much more. Because an overabundance of “hip gold” bacteria in the gut, a cortisol level that is too high or iron levels that are too low – and the diet and the associated exercise may not work!
