Microneedling

Natural skin refinement and rejuvenation through self-regeneration

Natural skin rejuvenation through self-regeneration

Microneedling is a procedure that uses fine pricks in the skin to stimulate the skin’s self-renewal and therefore has a 100% natural, lasting tissue-building effect. This can refine the skin’s appearance and reduce wrinkles and scars.

As the skin is locally anaesthetized with an ointment beforehand, you will normally hardly feel anything from the treatment itself. The stimuli from the needles then cause growth factors and other messenger substances to be released, which stimulate cell renewal and the production of new collagen and elastin fibers.

How effective is microneedling?

Microneedling gives the skin an intensive impulse to rejuvenate itself. This leads to a visible refinement and smoothing of the skin’s appearance. The smallest skin vessels are also rebuilt, which in turn promotes blood circulation in the skin and gives it a wonderfully youthful, fresh glow.

Microneedling – the natural way to stay young

Microneedling is particularly recommended for patients who want a natural form of skin rejuvenation. Microneedling is particularly suitable for problem skin, i.e. the first signs of wrinkles, sagging connective tissue, sallow facial skin or other unpleasant side effects of ageing. However, enlarged pores, acne scars and other scars can also be treated very well with microneedling.

Not all microneedling is the same

How effective the regenerative effect of microneedling is depends not least on how deep the needles penetrate the skin. In the case of purely cosmetic microneedling, only a depth of 0.1 to 0.3 millimetres may be used. This means that the stimuli are only applied to the uppermost layer of skin, the epidermis. In medical microneedling, we can reach much deeper layers of skin and thus achieve a much more intensive effect. With the fine needles, we prick one to three millimetres deep into the skin and thus initiate significant collagen production. Medical microneedling is therefore also known as collagen induction therapy. Another positive side effect of medical microneedling is the increased absorption capacity of the skin, for example for hyaluronic acid and vitamins, which can penetrate the tissue.
